Exhibitor Spotlight:

Hartley Brown

Hartley Brown is the third generation who worked in the family jewelry business in Scotland. After he moved to London and worked for Carrington [Court Jewelers to Queen Elizabeth & the Royal Family] for four years he started his own business in 1977 of buying and selling antique and period jewelry to the trade. During this time he traveled extensively to the United States and Western Europe, specifically Paris, to buy unique pieces. In 2004, he moved his business to New York where he specializes in unusual colored stones such as color change, purple and pink unheated sapphires, alexandrites, spinels and spessartite garnets, all with certificates. In addition he also has a large selection of loose and mounted hard stone intaglios and cameos from ancient to the 19th century, signed and unsigned.
